Rector Welcomed the Cooperation Offered by Thaksin UniversityRektor Sambut Tawaran Kerjasama Thaksin University
Darussalam | Rector of Unsyiah, Prof. Dr. Ir. Syamsul Rizal, M.Eng welcomed the offer of cooperation with Thaksin University. In a closed meeting on Monday morning (10/3) in his office, Syamsul expressed his appreciation for this initiative. “We are very excited for this offer and look forward to realizing this cooperation soon, whether it’s in Economics, Agricultural or Education Department”, he explained.
Representing Thaksin University, Thanawit Bunsit explained the main purpose of his visit to Aceh is to establish a more intensive cooperation with Syiah Kuala University. Thaksin, the biggest University of Southern Thailand is interested to establish cooperation in the program of exchange of students, guest lecturers, as well as research and publication of scientific research. “I’ve met with the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Agriculture, Math and Science, and also Education,” he explained.
Thanawit has already stayed 7 days in Banda Aceh and also has become a guest lecture to the International Accounting Program and for lecturers in the Faculty of Economics for 4 days. “This is my second visit to Aceh, last year I only stay for 2 days,” he added. “We hope that the Rector, Deans, lecturers and students of Unsyiah may come at the celebration of Thailand National Agriculture Day on August 22 to 29 later,” he concluded.
This meeting was also attended by Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Dr. Mirza Tabarani, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Agus Sabti, and Vice Dean of the Cooperation of Faculty of Economics, Jeliteng Pribadi, MM, MA. []

Dalam pertemuan terbatas Senin pagi (10/3) di ruang kerjanya, Syamsul menyatakan penghargaannya atas inisiatif ini. “Kami sangat senang atas tawaran ini dan berharap dapat mewujudkan kerjasama ini dengan segera. Baik itu dalam bidang Ekonomi, Pertanian ataupun dalam bidang Kependidikan,” jelasnya.
Mewakili Thaksin University, Thanawit Bunsit menjelaskan maksud kedatangannya ke Aceh yang utama adalah untuk menjalin kerjasama yang lebih intensif dengan Universitas Syiah Kuala. Universitas terbesar di Selatan Thailand ini tertarik menjalin kerjasama dalam bidang pertukaran mahasiswa, dosen tamu, serta penelitian dan publikasi riset-riset ilmiah. “Saya sudah bertemu dengan Dekan Fakultas Ekonomi, Pertanian, Matematika dan Sains, dan juga FKIP,” jelasnya.
Thanawit yang sudah 7 hari berada di Banda Aceh juga turut mengisi kuliah tamu untuk Program S1 Internasional Akuntansi dan untuk Dosen-dosen di Fakultas Ekonomi selama 4 hari. “Ini kunjungan saya yang kedua ke Aceh. Tahun lalu hanya 2 hari saja,” tambahnya. “Kami berharap Pak Rektor, para Dekan serta dosen-dosen dan mahasiswa Unsyiah dapat hadir pada perayaan Hari Pertanian Nasional Thailand pada tanggal 22-29 Agustus nanti,” pungkasnya.
